Newport Boxfit & Claiborne Pell Elementary School
Every Monday & Wednesday trainer Karen Dulin has been packing up a bag full of gloves & pads and taking our classes on the road to Claiborne Pell Elementary School. Our partnership with them started exactly one year ago thanks to the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant. This grant is aimed at providing enrichment experiences to students and families with as few barriers as possible. This has been a great partnership that has allowed us to bring the sport of boxing to the community youth. Learning the boxing basics helps them learn self defense, discipline, strength and is a great stress relief in a positive and motivating environment!
Newport Boxfit Partnership with The Boys & Girls Club of Newport County
We have a long history with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County. They opened their doors to us in 2013 and offered their facilities to host our first classes. Our work with them is by far one of our proudest achievements and we are always humbled when we visit this place and see just what they do for the youth in our community.
